General Instructions for sending files to designsUNLIMITED

Please provide us with the following: Company Name, Your Full Name and phone number, MIS Contact Name and phone number, Preferred file transfer method, Alternate file transfer method(s).

Compression Software: File type ( i. e. Pro/E, DWG, DXF, IGES, CDR, DOC, etc. ) being transferred. Please remember to include version numbers. Notify your primary contact here at dU that you are sending a file and the method in which you are sending it. Compress your file(s) - if you need compression software follow this link to download WinZip Compression Software for free. dU can support long file names.

Sending files via e-mail
Address the e-mail message to your primary contact at dU. E-mail addresses at dU are the person's first name plus their last initial (i. e. Jim Ventress e-mail address would be jimv@designsunlimited.net or timh@designsunlimited.net). Include the words File Transfer in the subject line of your e-mail message. Attach your file(s) to the e-mail message. Please do not send file attachments in excess of 2 megabyte's.

Anonymous FTP: For files larger that 2 megabyte's please send via Anonymous FTP. A reply message will be sent to confirming receipt of the file(s). Remember that e-mail messages are not always immediately delivered. For immediate transfer of your file(s) consider using FTP.

Sending files via Anonymous FTP
Connect to ftp://designsunlimited.net using your FTP software. If you need FTP software try WS_FTP32. Upload your file(s) to the /ftp/incoming directory, which is the default directory. Do not be alarmed if you cannot see any file(s) after the transmission is complete. Notify your primary contact at dU by e-mail or by phone informing him or her that the file(s) have been transferred.

Sending files via CDROM
Any CD ROMs sent to dU must be in Windows. Please ensure that there exists only one session on the CD. Multiple sessions require the software used to write to the CD to read from the CD. Please include with the CD explicit, detailed documentation regarding the file(s) on the CD and the software used to create the files that are on the CD. dU can transfer files to you on CD upon request.

Sending files via DAT Tape
dU can Send/Receive 4mm DAT Tapes from NT Operating Systems only. Tape capacities can range from 1GB to 4GB uncompressed. NT DAT Tapes can be read using MS Windows NT Backup. All shipping labels for DAT Tapes should display "Do Not Xray".

Sending files via Diskette/ ZIP Disk
dU can read/write diskettes in the following formats: DOS/Windows 3.5" 720K - 1.44MB.
ZIP Disks- 100mb (Iomega)
